Educational Pilot Call
The EduTrain team is thrilled to announce its third call for Educational Pilots, providing funding for the development of Open Educational Resources (OER) and organizing educational events that are specifically tailored for the Earth System Sciences (ESS) community.
We have a strong interest in pushing the boundaries of Earth system science content, particularly in areas that employ advanced analytical techniques such as time series analysis and innovative deep learning methodologies. Furthermore, we warmly welcome and encourage applicants to propose their own unique topics within Earth System Data Science or Earth System Data Management that may be currently overlooked in existing OER (D1.3.1). Please note that this call excludes generic research data management and open science topics as well as teaching guidelines.
Resources and events that meet the needs of our core users is of great importance. Our main users are Master's students, early to senior scientists, and professors in the field. As such, the proposals should be suitable for advanced learners.
Funding:
NFDI4Earth provides a total of 25.000€ for this call, to be split among the successful proposals. The funding will be according to the DFG personnel rate.

The suggested service and a concise report (not exceeding four pages) detailing the services should be submitted by the end of the year 2025.
