Introduction to DataCube analysis with Julia
Date: 28. & 29. August 2024
Duration: 9 - 12 am
(online)
The course will be available on the NFDI4Earth
Educational Portal later this year.
Course
description: DataCube analysis is a
powerful technique for processing and analyzing multidimensional data used in
various disciplines such as earth observation, environmental sciences,
geoinformatics and others. This course provides an introduction to DataCube
analysis using the Julia programming language, focusing on datasets larger than
the available memory. Julia is an efficient and flexible programming language
that is ideal for data-intensive applications, including the processing of
large multidimensional datasets. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge
and practical exercises, participants will be able to create, analyze and use
DataCubes for various applications in the earth system sciences and beyond.
